Cupping Therapy

Suction therapy to relieve tension, reduce stiffness, encourage circulation, and support the body’s natural healing

Cupping Therapy is one of the oldest forms of medical treatment available. Originating in Eastern China and Africa, this method of treatment is chosen to relieve pain and tension in the body using the application and suction pressure of plastic or glass cups.

Areas of musculoskeletal tension or congestion are located using massage techniques. Cups are then applied on an affected areas and moved over the surface in a gliding motion or possibly put on a fascial adhesion or trigger point for a short time to reduce and eliminate it.

The cups can also be placed on specific points of the body to release localised acute and chronic tension and help to increase blood flow to the area.
