What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, yet highly effective way of treating
a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
When was homeopathy founded?
Homeopathy works on the principle of treating ‘like with
like’ which was developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnermann, the
pioneer of homeopathy in the 16th Century.
A substance that produces a certain set of symptoms
in a healthy person has the power to cure a sick person manifesting
the same symptoms.”
What to Expect in your homeopathy consultation
Your homeopath will ask you questions, i.e. what are your sleep
patterns like? Or, what are your food likes and dislikes? These
questions may seem irrelevant or strange to you at first however,
your homeopath will ask these questions so that they can fully
understand your whole picture, the totality of symptoms in you
as an individual.
What can homeopathy treat?
- Stress, anxiety, anger etc
- Skin complaints (eczema, psoriasis etc)
- Hay fever and allergies
- Digestive problems (allergies, IBS etc)
- Childhood diseases and behavioural problems
- Respiratory problems
- Headaches and migraines
- Menstrual problems, PMT and menopause
....and a lot more...!
Homeopathy can also help in your acute and your first aid situations.
How long does treatment take?
This depends on the nature of your illness, how long you have
had the symptoms and the individual characteristics of your case
How many appointments will you need?
Normally 6-8 appointments are recommended and then a reassessment
is completed to see how you are responding to treatment.
Appointments are normally every 4-6 weeks.
What if you like to be treated differently?
You are treated as an individual and each patient case is treated
starting from a blank canvas. This is why homeopathy is so unique
as it takes your individual symptoms into consideration and you
will be prescribed a remedy or remedies to match your INDIVIDUAL
case history characteristics.
